BANGALORE, INDIA: Software testing is currently considered among the fastest growing industry segments in India.
This has become possible, largely due to the presence of multinational companies (MNCs) and various other smaller companies, who have expanded their presence in a short span of time, therby, allowing many techies to enter to the area of software testing.
"The outsourceable testing market to India is estimated to be $32 billion and there is 18,000 professionals' shortage in testing industry. We are targeting to tap this potential market," said Mohan Panguluri, vice president, operations, EDI.
As we are aware, the Indian market for software testing industry is estimated to be around $0.8 to $1 billion and the latest survey showed us that we have a shortfall of 15,000 testing professionals. And, another 25,000 software testers are required in the coming years!
